Opportunities for Practical Work and Student Research at PT Vale Indonesia

We provide opportunities for students to study together at PT Vale through practical work programs and student research.

In early August 2026, we are reopening opportunities for internships and final-year research projects. Stay tuned for the announcement on PT Vale’s social media channels.

Practical Work/Student Research is a community empowerment program in which the company provides an opportunities for high school/undergraduate students who wish to complete their final project by doing their practical work and research at PT Vale Indonesia for a limited time to carry out their practical work and research at PT Vale Indonesia for a limited time.
Prospective participants are high school or undergraduate students who are still active in school/college.
Following are the requirements and a list of documents that need to be prepared to register in the Practical Work/Final Project Research program at PT Vale Indonesia:
  1. ID Card.
  2. Student Card.
  3. Official letter from campus/school.
  4. Certificate of good health.
  5. BPJS Kesehatan or others health assurances membership card.
  6. Recent photos.
  7. A proposal containing research topics to be carried out at PT Vale Indonesia.
  8. A short essay (150-300 words) outlining the reasons for the candidate choosing PT Vale Indonesia as the location for their final work practice or research assignment.
  9. Sign an integrity pact regarding the confidentiality of company data. 
  10. Submit the final assignment document in pdf format for company archive.

Practical Work and Student Research periods at PT Vale Indonesia Tbk are conducted regularly in January, May, and September. The registration form (available at the end of this page) will be opened 1 (one) month before the period begins.

Additionally, we offer opportunities for internships or final-year projects starting in August. The program begins with one month of online learning, followed by on-site implementation at our work location.

The profile collected from the registration forms will be selected by PT Vale Indonesia’s Internal Selection Team.
Practical Work and Student Research periods at PT Vale Indonesia Tbk are conducted regularly in January, May, and September. The registration form (available at the end of this page) will be opened 1 (one) month before the period begins.

Announcements will be sent to the email address and WhatsApp registered on the form. Therefore, make sure you register an active email address.
The Practical Work/Student Research Program participants can choose a duration between 1 and 4 months for each batch.

• Opportunity to learn about sustainable mining business at PT Vale Indonesia.
• 3 meals per weekday in the company canteen.
• Accommodation in the company's operational area during the program period. Please note that accommodation availability is limited.
• Transportation from accomodation facility to the practical work location in company area during the practical work/final project research period
• Certificate of participation in the program.

In principle, we accept all students from all majors, but taking into account majors that are relevant to the mining industry.
The Practical Work/Student Research Program participants can choose a duration between 1 and 4 months for each batch.
Currently, this program location is only in the Sorowako Block.
