Expanding Market Access Through Rumah Oleh-Oleh Telaloa, Vale Indonesia Drives Faster Growth for Local MSMEs
EAST LUWU, October 5, 2026 – Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in driving the regional economy. However, this potential continues to face challenges, particularly in gaining access to markets that can support business sustainability. In response to this challenge, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (Vale Indonesia) provides assistance and promotes increased marketing opportunities for MSME entrepreneurs, one of which is through the inauguration of Rumah Oleh-Oleh Telaloa, located in Magani Village, Nuha District.

The presence of Rumah Oleh-Oleh Telaloa is part of an effort to provide a space for MSME products to connect with the market, enabling businesses to grow more rapidly. Through a marketing channel that is closer to the community, business owners are expected to have greater opportunities to introduce and develop their products. To date, a total of 127 MSMEs have become Vale Indonesia-assisted MSMEs, while 49 potential MSMEs are currently being targeted to join the program. These business owners are spread across four districts, namely Nuha, Towuti, Wasuponda, and Malili.

Head of External Relations Sorowako & Outer Area of Vale Indonesia, Yusri Yunus, stated, "MSME development is not merely about improving the ability to produce products. Business owners also require a supportive ecosystem, ranging from business management capacity and legal compliance to access to markets. Without such support, local products may face limitations in reaching consumers and achieving sustainable growth."

"Therefore, Vale Indonesia promotes MSME development alongside the expansion of market access. This approach is intended to ensure that business owners are not only capable of producing products, but are also able to enter the market, meet market demand, and have opportunities to grow their businesses. There are still many challenges faced by MSME entrepreneurs. For that reason, we hope that the assistance and market access provided through Rumah Oleh-Oleh Telaloa can help them develop their businesses," Yusri explained.

Meanwhile, Nuha District Head Arief Fadillah Amier said that MSME development requires communication and synergy among various stakeholders. “Collaboration, sitting together, and extensive communication are needed so that we can provide solutions for MSMEs, including enabling more products to enter and be marketed here. This is a positive effort to create space for MSME entrepreneurs,” he said.

Nuha added, "The government will continue to support various initiatives that provide benefits to MSME entrepreneurs and the community. We will always support the positive efforts undertaken by Vale Indonesia to improve the welfare of MSME entrepreneurs and the community. We hope this souvenir center will continue to grow and support local economic development."

Rumah Oleh-Oleh Telaloa will operate Monday through Saturday, from 09:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m. Central Indonesia Time (WITA). Its presence is expected to serve as a marketing channel for MSME products from the four districts, while also supporting the establishment of a business ecosystem that connects MSME entrepreneurs, cooperatives, communities, and markets.

Through the integration of mentoring, capacity building, legal compliance, and expanded market access, Vale Indonesia is enabling local MSMEs to build stronger business foundations and achieve more sustainable growth opportunities. Rumah Oleh-Oleh Telaloa represents a tangible example of this effort, bringing MSME products closer to both the market and the community.
