Vale Indonesia Hands Over Six Livable Houses to Residents in Kolaka

Kolaka, October 17, 2026 – PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (“Vale Indonesia” or the “Company”), a member of Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID), officially handed over six houses renovated under the Uninhabitable House Rehabilitation Program (RTLH) to residents in three villages in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The program forms part of the series of activities commemorating Vale Indonesia’s 58th Anniversary in July 2026 and reflects the Company’s contribution to improving the quality of life of communities surrounding the Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) Pomalaa operational area.

The rehabilitation of the six houses was carried out over a one-month period beginning on August 23, 2026, covering Longgori Village, Huko-Huko Village, and Pesouha Village. Through this program, Vale Indonesia seeks to provide more decent and comfortable living conditions for the beneficiaries and their families.

Head of External Relations Regional & Growth of Vale Indonesia, Endra Kusuma, said:

“The RTLH Program is part of the Company's commitment to continuously enhance its social contribution, particularly through improving the quality of life of communities in a sustainable manner, thereby supporting a better future for residents in need. In addition to social initiatives, Vale Indonesia's Community Development Program also covers the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment.”

The benefits of the program were directly experienced by the recipients. Hasnah, one of the beneficiaries from Huko-Huko Village, expressed her gratitude:

“We can now live in a more decent and comfortable home with our family. Previously, when it rained, water would enter the house and even soak our mattress to the point that it had to be wrung out. I am very grateful to be able to live in a new home that I never imagined I would have. I would like to express my deepest appreciation to Vale Indonesia. May the Company always be blessed with good health, longevity, and abundant prosperity.”

A similar sentiment was shared by Sulaeman, another beneficiary.

“I would like to express my gratitude for the house rehabilitation assistance received by my family, and I hope that Vale Indonesia will continue to receive protection and success in carrying out its activities,” said Sulaeman.

In the construction of the six houses, Vale Indonesia collaborated with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and local communities. Commander of Military District Command (Kodim) 1412/Kolaka, Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Choky Gunawan, expressed his appreciation for Vale Indonesia’s contributions through various programs that have benefited communities in Kolaka Regency.

According to Choky, “Throughout my service in this region, we have witnessed various initiatives undertaken by the Company, ranging from the improvement of public facilities, support for flood impact response efforts, reforestation activities, and the renovation of residents’ homes. We have also seen Vale Indonesia respond swiftly in collaborating with us, local government authorities, and other companies.”

Through the RTLH rehabilitation program, Vale Indonesia demonstrates its commitment to contributing to the welfare of surrounding communities, in line with the Company’s purpose of improving quality of life and building a better future together.
